Schedule | Field Directions 

PHILOSOPHY: To expose players to the game of soccer, so they can develop a love of the game, good sportsmanship, and learn the skills of the game. All this is done through a fun based and age appropriate activities approach.

While we hope to field two teams -- a boys and a girls team -- for each grade, sometimes the number of children that choose to play can affect the way the teams are organized.  Our approach has been to combine grade levels of same sex kids (example: 5th & 6th boys) although the combinations change each year. More information will be available this fall.

PRACTICE:  Tuesdays and Thursdays; 4:30 –6:00pm (starting 9/2). Please do not drop off players until a coach is at the field and pick-up promptly so the coach can go home also.

GAMES: Games will be played on Saturdays starting on 9/6. You will get a schedule for your child’s team as soon as it is available and it will be posted on this  website. You must make arrangements for transportation to the games for your child if you can’t drive.

Please keep in mind that the league philosophy is “Kids first, results second”. Support this by showing respect to both teams, coaches, and referees. Everybody involved is a volunteer.

EQUIPMENT:  All players MUST wear shin guards to play. Uniform t-shirts are provided by the WRSA. Red shorts and white socks are the players responsibility.

RAIN POLICY: Practice will be canceled for hard rain; drizzle or showers are OK. An announcement will be made at Flood Brook School before dismissal. Surprisingly, the weather often does change between the 2:00 Flood Brook decision and the actual start of practice - if practice was canceled at school, it's STILL OFF; and if hard rain (as above) has started between the 2 times, practice IS CANCELED. If a thunderstorm comes in while children are playing, Please go to the field to pick them up immediately. Games may be canceled by coaches for weather reasons - notice will be passed on by the phone chain.
