Early + Late Season on Snow Practices
West River skiers have a long history of skiing on all snow conditions and temperatures. This tradition is both a reflection of our passion for the sport and helps develop a lifelong connection with the snow that is invaluable in the ski world. Many of the early and late season conditions can be rocky, icy and challenging for new skiers or skiers who prefer a more even “green trail” experience. When a practice will be on these conditions the practice email notification will note “challenging conditions expected” and please use your judgment if it is appropriate to send your child. All practices are optional but we love to ski so want to take every opportunity for the kids to get on snow.
West River Nordic Club is part of the larger New England Bill Koch League (NEBKL). Both entities are members of NENSA (New England Nordic Ski Association).
THANK YOU to our local ski venues - Wild Wings XC Ski Center, Viking Nordic Center, Stratton Nordic Center for their ongoing support of our program!
